Description
Nicely matured blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from an award winning producer - a fine example of Bordeaux's Haut Medocs. Rich fruity aromas and flavours, an excellent accompaniment to any red meat roast.
Bordeaux reds are generally a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Some have more Cabernet Sauvignon, some more Merlot. To my taste it is the Haut Medocs (left bank of the Gironde) that get the mix just right and of these the Cru Bourgeois Chateau Aney is one of my favourites.
Our normal price for the silver medal 2002 vintage is £18 a bottle, on offer this month while stocks last, at £14 a bottle in cases of 12. (Same price for 2000 vintage). We have limited stocks of both and while stocks permit we will send out a mix of 2000 and 2002. The producer has completely sold out of 2000.
